Your Guide to the MAGIC KINGDOM

When you think of “Disney World”, chances are you’re thinking of the Magic Kingdom. Home to the Cinderella Castle, it’s a staple in the iconic Disney universe.

It might seem a little overwhelming to try and get the most magic out of the most iconic park at the most magical place on earth, so I put together this guide just for you! It’s an overview of everything you need to know when it comes to your day at the Magic Kingdom. So, let’s jump right in!

  • Overwhelmed already?

Did you know working with a Disney travel planner is absolutely free? Disney adds in the commission of a travel agent into their prices. So if you book directly through Disney, that money just goes back into Disney’s pocket. You paid for services that you did not get to use! Click “Overwhelmed already?” to send me a message and watch your vacation stress melt away.

Getting Around

Did you know that Magic Kingdom is laid out like a wheel?

The center of the wheel is directly in front of the Cinderella Castle. Each “spoke” of the wheel leads to different themed areas in the park. Each of these themed areas has their own rides and attractions. Let me break it down for you.

MAIN STREET, U.S.A.

After going through security and the park entrance, you’ll find yourself on Main Street, U.S.A. This area was inspired by Walt Disney himself’s home town – a recreation of early 20th century small-town America. Main Street is home to many shops like Main Street Confectionery . Throughout the day, guests can watch performances of The Dapper Dans as they sing, dance, and entertain the crowds. At night, guests flood the street to secure their spots to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks show. As you make your way down Main Street, you are headed straight for the castle.

  • ✨ WHITNEY’S FAVORITE ✨

I always love to stop at Emporium . They have everything from clothes to coffee mugs (which I get every time I go) to toys. It’s a great one-stop shop.

ADVENTURELAND

If you take the first “spoke” to the left, you’ll be headed straight for Adventureland. Themed with a mix of jungles, wild animals, pirates, and a Middle Eastern bazaar, Adventureland is home to several of Magic Kingdom’s best-known and best-loved attractions, including Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise.
